Your 1040, priced before we start
A real preparer reads your documents, a second person reviews the return, and the fee is agreed in writing the day you send us last year's filing. No per-form surprises at the end.
- Form 1040 and all common schedules
- Prepared and reviewed by two people
- Federal and one state included
- Flat fee, agreed up front
Three levels, by how complicated your year was
A W-2 and a bank account is a different job from four rentals and a K-1. The levels follow the work rather than your income.
Salary, maybe some interest, standard deduction, one state.
- Form 1040 prepared, reviewed and e-filed
- W-2, interest, dividend and retirement income
- Document checklist built from last year's return
- Extension filing and deadline tracking
A side business, a rental, some investments, or you itemize.
- Everything in Essentials, plus a second state
- Itemized deductions, one Schedule C, one rental
- Capital gains and up to two K-1s
- Notice response, withholding review and a walkthrough
Several properties, several K-1s, equity comp, or a move between states.
- Everything in Pro, plus a third state
- Up to five rentals, five K-1s, crypto and broker imports
- FBAR and Form 8938 where foreign accounts apply
- December projection, quarterly estimates, three calls
If your return turns out to be simpler than the level you picked, we move you down and bill the lower fee. That direction happens more often than people expect.

You own the business as well?
The 1040 and the business return are cheaper together, and the K-1 only has to be explained once.
Questions people ask before signing
What if I picked the wrong level?
We confirm the level after reading your documents, before any work starts. It moves in both directions and the fee moves with it.
Do you file joint returns at the same price?
Yes. Married filing jointly is one return and one fee. Married filing separately is two returns, and the second is priced at half.
I have not filed for a couple of years.
We can prepare back years. Each prior year is a separate return at that year's level, usually with a discount for doing several at once.
Who actually prepares my return?
A named preparer on our team, with a second person reviewing before anything is filed. You will know both names and deal with the same preparer next year.
Send last year's return. Get this year's fee in writing.
Two business days, no charge, no obligation. If your return is simpler than you think, we will tell you that instead of selling you a bigger package.
